HOW DO I REGISTER?
The registration is on-line through the website.
CAN I REGISTER FOR SELECTED PERIODS OF TIME?
You can register for the season, or by week for up to three weeks. Keep in mind that the most economical option is to register for the season. We must register children in age groups and hire monitors for each group, so we will try to cover our overhead costs with season registrations, and then we will fill available openings with short-term requirements. We do this by putting shorter term registrations on a waiting list until we have received all full time season registrations. Why not register for the full season? The difference in price is very small and there is a guaranteed space for your children.
WHO ARE THE CAMP MONITORS?
The monitors are CEGEP or University students who are trained in first aid, animation, and leadership. We endeavor to hire those that are studying in child-related fields such as Education, Early Childhood Care, Social Work, and CRLT.
WHAT IS A C.I.T.?
A C.I.T. is a counselor in training or junior monitor. We often take children that have grown up in our camps and are now teenagers. (15-17) They then take counselor training and work as C.I.T.s with the various day camps to gain experience. They earn an honorarium, evaluation, certificate of employment, and references for their summer work.
WHEN IS THE CAMP STARTING AND ENDING?
The camp begins Monday, June 27th. (THERE IS NO CAMP ON JULY 1st). The camp runs until the 12th of August.
CAN MY CHILD ATTEND FOR HALF-DAYS?
Because of the many outings and activities that take the groups away from the site, it is not possible to arrange for half-day sessions. Should a situation arise that requires you to drop off your child late and/or pick him/her up early, an arrangement must be made IN ADVANCE with the coordinator to ensure that the group can be easily located. By 9:15 a.m., activities have begun and children who arrive late cannot be brought to groups who have already left the camp for the day. Please be prompt.
CAN I REGISTER FOR HALF OF THE EXTENDED CARE? FOR EXAMPLE, MORNINGS OR AFTERNOONS ONLY?
See the price list for morning and afternoon options. Extended care is not as highly demanded as full-time registration, so we can be flexible. Daily registration is also possible.
